Medical Big Data Analysis

Hospital for Children Eye ENT and Rehabilitation Service (CHEERS) is located at Madhyapur Nagarpalika-1, Lokanthali, Bhaktapur, Nepal. CHEERS is a first dedicated Child Eye, ENT Hospital integrated with Rehabilitation services in Nepal. The children's hospital is under the aegis of B.P Eye foundation, a social service-oriented organisation. 

Since its inception, CHEERS has amassed data from various sources such as all the software used in daily operations, research department and finance department. With priority in budgeting, which is always a significant factor for any business, CHEERS commissioned Moonlit Solutions to analyze the data from different sectors within the hospital and create several forecasting models to help with operational efficiency.   

The scope of the work included but was not limited to:

• Data curation from different sectors of the hospital

• Data wrangling and principal component analysis

• Exploratory data analysis

• Creation and validation of different forecasting models

• Assist in the creation of the hospital master plan for the future.

• Business Forecast Report and a static dashboard 

CHEERS utilised the insights to improve patient experience, gain market share, optimise cost and improve inventory efficiency.
